Ice on the fishponds

Had a run down to the fishponds today to do some images with ice. While I was there I found some tyre tracks with ice covered puddles. These gave some interesting images with air trapped beneath the ice.

Felled Oak Tree

In the grounds of the hotel where we were staying earlier this week, was an Oak tree, which had recently been felled.  The trunk was being cut up and in doing so some great backgrounds for photographs had been revealed.

January roundup

Well this month has been a very odd month. Very much a time of standing still. As you can see I have done very little photography over the past weeks, until that is, the past few days where a trip down to the area around Ashdown Forrest  provided some interesting opportunities for images.

This will the first part of the collection.

Snow

Kent has had one of the snowiest winters for many years and much to my frustration I have been unable to get out with my camera and take pictures. Today has been different and I had some time with my camera.
These images are taken around Harvel and Luddesdown where the snow is still about 6 inches deep.

Happy New Year

The first image from the New Year and the first after a short break from posting.

The Blog has now had over 120 post and nearly 1000 visitors since September. When I restarted the blog it was not my intention to do a 'picture/post a day' type blog. I had done that on Pbase a few years ago and it became a chore and not a pleasure. I got some good images but others were just space fillers.

So for this year the blog will still be running, hopefully with as many images as in the past, but it will not be a picture/post everyday.

That is the intention anyway. Keep visiting and see how things develop!

HAPPY NEW YEAR  to everyone.

Ian
