Poppies at the tower 2

I had the chance to revisit the Tower of London to have a look at the poppies that are being arranged to remember the start of WW1. I had visited nearly a month ago just before William and Kate had attended the ceremony. At the time it was stunning how many poppies had been planted.
It is much more powerful an image as there must be twice as many poppies as there were when we first visited.

They now run in a thick field all around the tower. They are still not finished and there are still more to be planted.

When returned home we could still see the light in the sky in Gravesend a distance of about 22 miles!

Tower Poppies

Had a trip to London today and went to have a look at the poppies at the Tower of London.

It is a very thought provoking installation as it is today. When you realise that it is not complete and the poppies will run all around the moat, the scale of the tragedy is almost overwhelming.

Sunset Margaretting

A nice sunset but full moon stayed behind the clouds.
