Storm damage

Since I moved into this house there has been a rather magnificent willow tree at the bottom of the garden. Sadly with the storms of the last couple of days it is no more. The trunk appears to have rotted and it has broken at the roots. Over the next few days I will have someone in to remove the remains.

Christmas Day

Christmas Day has come and gone. Food was good and managed a quick walk after.

Christmas Eve

It's Christmas Eve, and one of the strangest Christmas Eves ever. Delivered the last few cards and presents. But with all the restrictions it was only quick chats at front doors.

Home and cleaning and clearing. Post arrived with a few bits and pieces. A walk over Windmill Hill with the last cards. Back home and preparing for the day alone on Christmas Day.

Christmas windows

Damp and dark today so the Christmas tree in the window is looking good.

Winter Solstice

My first thought is how did we get to the winter solstice so quickly! and how the world has shifted since this time last year.

Also I haven't touched a camera in months, as life has been taken up by other concerns. Christmas looks to be another completely different experience, the fourth in a row.

Looking ahead, next year may hopefully be better than the past few.

Hopefully I can start taking pictures and this will be a foundation to build on.

1984

Its the spring of 1984. I'm in London looking for any work I can get associated with photography. So that was how I found myself working for Polaroid demonstrating their 35mm instant film system.

Strangley I found myself at a Dixons store in Liverpool. Not exactly the sort of customer base that was going to be buying the system. Anyway 2 weeks work and access to film for testing was worth doing.

Sunset Margaretting

A nice sunset but full moon stayed behind the clouds.
