Post production adjustments
After getting back from Scotland I have had some time for post production work on some of the images from last week. The final results are slightly different from the straight out of the camera images, are more what I 'saw' the images as being when they were shot.

Day 6
The final day before my trip back down south saw me on the Ayrshire coast around Dunure. The idea was for some sunset images and then some long exposure low light shots as the light faded. The sunset was not great and the tide was too low for the images I had in mind. That said the images I got were very satisfactory.

Day 4 and 5
I did not manage to get an internet connection yesterday so today will cover the last two days. Thursday was rather dull and with other things that were going on I did very little in the way of images. Today has been better, some new images around Port Glasgow and Greenock, then on down the coast and back over the hills. The snow was still very thick with lots of ice on the lochs.

Roadtrip Day 3
Today has been a day of unbroken sunshine! The snow on the Renfrewshire hills is still 12" deep so I was only able to get so far up the road into the hills. The ice on all the puddles and on the rivers gave many interesting images. Most I will need to work on back on my main computer at home.

Day 2
Day two of my trip to Scotland saw me leaving North Wales and driveing up to the Lake District. The aim was to visit Longsleddle and Mardale. Both these valleys have connections to Great, Great Grandparents. One of whom may have lived in the house that was used in the film 'Withnail and I'. Did not find the house anmd the church was newer than my interest.
This entry ended up as being a bit of a trauma to post. A clever bit of sneakernet using a borrowed memory stick was the only soloution.

Roadtrip Day 1
This is going too be a bit more wordy than the last few entries in the blog.
I am on a bit of a road-trip. This entry is being posted from North Wales, after a day travelling up from Kent. The weather was fantastic, very cold but with sunshine all the way. At lunch time I was at The NEC for Focus on Imaging. The show was very busy but I saw all that I wanted to see, bought what I wanted to buy and then left!
After getting through Birmingham I stopped for a coffee at Telford. After looking at the maps I drove through Iron Bridge gorge and up to Shrewsbury. The roads were very quiet, and with Astral Weeks playing on the stereo things could not be better. At The Horseshoe Pass I stopped to do some images and again at Moel Fameau. Fuelled up at Denbigh and then on to an overnight stop. A wonderful day

Out today photographing chickens for a client. Ended up with a long discussion about what was the best looking pile of chicken poo to photograph!
