Blogging
As can be seen from the lack of posting on my blog, I am really lacking in inspiration and images to fill the pages. Most of the action has been on my Instagram account. These images are done very fast and with little planning. Just the idea of trying to post an image most days
There will be occasions when I will have images that I will post here but for the moment my main location to post images will be Instagram.
The image I posted today was of a Citroen SM

Brick Lane
It's Sunday, it's sunny and it's my weekend off!!!!
I had not been up to Spitalfields and Brick Lane for a long time, so today I had trip up there.
I came up into Liverpool St and went through Petticoat lane. This has really gone downhill. All the stalls seemed to sell the same tat and there was not atmosphere. Then I went into the Spitalfields covered market. This again had changed and was mostly corporate shops with few of the more quirky independents.
Across Commercial Street were the markets around the old Truman Brewery. These had the small stands and the artists and traders, by far the most fun!
I wandered around the old houses, of Furnier St and then walked the length of Brick Lane and up to Columbia Road.
The pictures are a mix of all the things I saw today.

Highgate
We have been wanting to visit Highgate cemetery for many years, but never seemed to get around to it. Until yesterday, when we both had a day off and the weather good.
The west cemetery is by tour only but we got to see the interesting bits of the cemetery. The East cemetery which is still used is open to wander around. In this side the graves include Carl Marx and Douglas Adams.

It is noticeable that I have not put many images on my blog over the past few weeks.
The reason is that I have started using Instagram. I am very late to the party, but the joy is that it all runs straight of my iPhone and I upload straight onto face book. The images are mostly taken on my daily commute, so there are several images of train stations.
This post will be a selection of what I have shot over the past few days.

Sunny Day
Today was rather sunny and as I have had a chest infection for a few days which has left me tired and with no energy to create any images, I took the chance to visit the old fish ponds again.

Waverley at Gravesend Pier
It has been a very dismal day grey, wet until the evening. Just before sunset I went down to the pier to try and catch some light. I found, moored up to the pier, the paddle steamer Waverley. I remember sailing on her down the river Clyde many many years ago. The most exciting thing for a young boy was the chance to have a look at the engines. There was a place where you could stand and watch the the connecting rods moving to turn the crank attached to the paddles. Going to see the engines also became an excuse for the men to visit the bar that was situated nearby.

Moon over Rochester
It is a full moon tomorrow, which makes today a better day to get images. Yesterday would have been better still but as I was on a late and the weather was not good, tonight it was.
I got home quickly grabbed my camera and got down to Rochester. By the time the moon was high enough for images the light levels had dropped a bit, this would be why yesterday would have been better. The moon would have been slightly less full but would have been higher in the sky earlier, making for better light balance between the moon and the buildings.
As it was I got some nice images.

Broken window.
Back at work after two weeks and I am slowly getting back into the swing of things.
One thing I have noticed are that there are a couple of large plate glass windows near work that have broken. Not from people throwing stones or the like but just suddenly failing.
It makes for some interesting pictures!

Bexhill
We visited the Charleston farmhouse, the country home of the Bloomsbury group today. It was a wonderful place to visit and we had a fantastic guide who took us round, talking for an hour and a half without notes. after we left we drove down to Bexhill. V was keen to see the Sovereign Light Cafe, which we found. We also visited the De La Warr Pavilion. The light was fantastic and I got all my images of the day here.

Pain
No Pain no gain!
I should gain lots of something quite soon. 14 miles on a bike with half of that against the wind delivered pain in buckets full.
The trip included a visit to the Turner gallery at Margate.
