Moon over Rochester

It is a full moon tomorrow, which makes today a better day to get images. Yesterday would have been better still but as I was on a late and the weather was not good, tonight it was.

I got home quickly grabbed my camera and got down to Rochester. By the time the moon was high enough for images the light levels had dropped a bit, this would be why yesterday would have been better. The moon would have been slightly less full but would have been higher in the sky earlier, making for better light balance between the moon and the buildings.

As it was I got some nice images.

Broken window.

Back at work after two weeks and I am slowly getting back into the swing of things.

One thing I have noticed are that there are a couple of large plate glass windows near work that have broken. Not from people throwing stones or the like but just suddenly failing.

It makes for some interesting pictures!

Bexhill

We visited the Charleston farmhouse, the country home of the Bloomsbury group today. It was a wonderful place to visit and we had a fantastic guide who took us round, talking for an hour and a half without notes. after we left we drove down to Bexhill. V was keen to see the Sovereign Light Cafe, which we found. We also visited the De La Warr Pavilion. The light was fantastic and I got all my images of the day here.

Cambridge

We visited a couple of places around Cambridgeshire, ending up in Cambridge around dusk.

Pain

No Pain no gain!

I should gain lots of something quite soon. 14 miles on a bike with half of that against the wind delivered pain in buckets full.

The trip included a visit to the Turner gallery at Margate.

Paralympics

It was hot, very hot, and there were crowds and crowds. At 7pm the stadium was full to capacity, and there was a great atmosphere all around. We saw lots of races, field events and medal ceremonies.

The whole day was amazing great organisation, food was good and not mega expensiveIt was easy getting in and easy getting out. Long day, a very hot day but an amazing day!

Thursday

I am still a day behind, so here are the pictures from our slow trip back to Gravesend.

Avebury, Basildon park,  Farnham and home just in time to see the Paralympics 100m final.

Off Grid

Found I was 'off grid' as far as internet connection went, last night. So here are the images from the day yesterday.

Chickens

It's been a very busy month with very little chance to take pictures.

The hen and eggs were from a visit with a friend today. Trying to get hen pics with an old point and shoot with limited iso range and a shutter delay of about a week gave for a frustrating time.
