The windows and doors of Spitalfields.
It"s weeks since I had the chance to come up to town, but today was one of those days.
The windows and walls around Spitalfields are always interesting.

Wales Wrap Up
We are now back from Wales. Very relaxed and chilled after a great week away. The weather was warm and dry, although there was not much sun. On the last day we walked up into the hills behind Tanygrisau. There is an old slate mine and and a nice lake up in the valley.

Angelsey
The weather was looking better the further west we went today so we ended up on the edge of Anglesey. Parys mountain and the church on the sea.

Wales
We have been in North Wales for a few days. As usual the weather has been mixed. Strangely dry for North Wales but with lots of cloud.
Yesterday the clouds cleared and we got the first bit of sun we have seen.
We were travelling through Snowdonia and as there was still a storing haze around the mountains were looking fantastic each peak a lighter shade as they went into the distance.
We also revisited Bedgelart and for the first time it was not raining.
Sunday we were in the Conway valley at Bodnant. and then in the hills on the edge of Snowdonia, where we found an amazing church just as the sun was about to drop below the hills.

Poppies at the tower 2
I had the chance to revisit the Tower of London to have a look at the poppies that are being arranged to remember the start of WW1. I had visited nearly a month ago just before William and Kate had attended the ceremony. At the time it was stunning how many poppies had been planted.
It is much more powerful an image as there must be twice as many poppies as there were when we first visited.
They now run in a thick field all around the tower. They are still not finished and there are still more to be planted.

Tower Poppies
Had a trip to London today and went to have a look at the poppies at the Tower of London.
It is a very thought provoking installation as it is today. When you realise that it is not complete and the poppies will run all around the moat, the scale of the tragedy is almost overwhelming.
