Toronto (Archive)

A few weeks I found myself in Toronto with a few hours to spare and ended up going to the CN Tower at night.

It was well worth the time, always amazing looking down on a city at night.

Ghost Town

With the lockdown the town is a bit of a wasteland. No people about when I had may days exercise.

Also going through a deed box from Mum's I found a book of petrol coupons issued during the oil crisis of the 70's but never used. May come in useful.

Archives

I brought a large box of pictures from Mums house when I cam back south this week. This afternoon I went through them to try and get rid of some of the images that hold no interest to the family.

Many pictures I had taken and sent to my parents so they had pictures of the children when they were growing up. But one picture caught my eye. This is the last picture taken of me and my father.

We would have been up on holiday in the lats summer and were packing the car for the drive south. Daughter would be 10 month old and it was hugs and goodbyes. then we had no idea that it would be the last time we would be together.

It looks as though we are arguing but it just a fleeting expression on my father's face.

Government permitted Exercise.

The new guidelines allow for one bit of exercise a day.

Today I walked to the bottle bank.

It was sunset and the light was nice on the buildings.

Leaving Kilmacolm

In this time of crisis, I finally got home. The car was MOT'd in morning, then an 8 hour drive south. Thankfully the roads were very quiet.

MED

Very strange day. Arrangements for my mothers funeral needing to be made in a time of the virus raging through the country.

this pic is a bit of a memory trip. Mums napkin ring on the brass gong that lived in my grandparents hall.

Muirsheil

Had a drive up to Muirsheil country park, then a 5 mile round trip walk to the old mines.

Nice day and few people.

Still trying to get my photographic mojo back!

20/3/2020

Today is the Vernal Equinox and we are deep into the Virus crisis.

I am going to attempt to do a post a day at least until the solstice, and hopefully longer.

Today was one of the first warmish sunny days of spring 2020. The winter as been stormy, wet and warm.

Did some photography during the day but managed a couple of shots in the Golden Hour before sunset.

February Catch Up

Well the rest of the month did not go well!

Quick flight from Chicago to Scotland. Then a series of hospital visits , punctuated by rain and storms.

Sunset Margaretting

A nice sunset but full moon stayed behind the clouds.
