Winter Solstice

 its the winter solstice today and the weather is dismal. unlike yesterday when I got out and raked all the leaves of my lawn.

Autumn Equinox

 Today is the Autumnal Equinox slightly later this year due to the normal variations in the earths rotation. So its now officially Autumn in the Northern Hemisphere.
