It was wet today. The first time in weeks.
Got a picture while channeling my inner Henri Cartier-Bresson

The Ford at Eynesford
After a couple of days with train the ford at Eynesford was running higher than usual. Quite glad I let a bigger vehicle try it first. After that I gave it a miss this time.

Reflections
I got out for a short time with my camera and went down to the old fish ponds. It is still very wintery but as the water level is high I found some nice refections to photograph.

Wales Wrap Up
We are now back from Wales. Very relaxed and chilled after a great week away. The weather was warm and dry, although there was not much sun. On the last day we walked up into the hills behind Tanygrisau. There is an old slate mine and and a nice lake up in the valley.

Rain, Rain, Rain!
It seems to be have been rainy forever. Each day is wet and we seem to have weather warning, after weather warning.
The statistics say it's the wettest January since records began.

Part one
Today was the day that I had set aside as a 'me' day, with the only aim was to do some photography. The weather forecast was good and with snow on the hills the only sensible choice was to go north. But before I did that I had a run out to the Knapps before breakfast. At this time of the year it takes some time for the sun to come up over the hills and hit the water. The wind was blowing strongly from the from the north and it was bitter standing waiting for the light.
When the light came up I managed to find some nice images which set the day up well for my trip up north.

Home Again
The trip away was great fun although I did less photography than I hoped.
Anyway back to Kent and today I had a bit of time to go out and take some pictures. I revisited the old fish ponds that I visit regularly. The season is a bit 'slow' for images The spring growth has long gone. There is no summer colour, and the colours of autumn are still some time away.
What did show well was the reflections in the ponds and some leaves.

Hosta leaves
I am acutely aware that I have let the blog slip over the past few months. There are many small reasons why I failed to produce some new images. Mostly I have moved in work and have found the learning curve steep but short, but because of this I have been rather tired.
Anyway here are the first new images for some time. Hopefully more to follow soon.

Friday Brief Encounter
With the nights drawn in so there is no light to shoot with after work, the only time is before work. So for a few moments this morning I had some time with the camera.

Dew and Water drops
A few quick shots in the garden this afternoon. the dew supplied by a misting hose. The water drop on the leaf is glycerin, it last longer and is easier to put in place.
