Amsterdam 2

The Rijks Museum in Amsterdam is as good as its reputation is.   The Rembrand's and Vermeer paintings are stunning. and there is also a gallery dedicated to the destruction of the English navy at the battle of the Medway.

Having a Whale of a Time.

After the V&A we were wondering what to do so we had a trip across the road to see the new installation of the Blue Whale skeleton in the entrance hall of the Natural History Museum.

The V&A

On the visit to the V&A to see the Pink Floyd show, we had arranged to meet up at the Exhibition Road entrance. As it was many years since I had been to the V&A, I was amazed at the changes to the entrance, which is now called the Sackler Courtyard.

On enquiring how long it was since the entrance was built, I was told 'only three weeks!'

No wonder none of us recognised it.

Bletchley Park

We have been wanting to visit Bletchley Park for some time. V had visited a few years ago and said it was well worth going again. Since her visit, the site has had a large lottery fund grant and has much more to see.

We were there for 4 hours and saw only a small part of what there was to see. So I think we will be back again some time soon.

Scotland

We had a wee trip up home in the past few weeks. Not much photography but some images I liked.

Sunset Margaretting

A nice sunset but full moon stayed behind the clouds.
