Old Trees

Not the best day I've had for awhile, very hard to get going and no motivation.
After a morning not doing much I took a walk out to the local Nature reserve at Shorne Woods.

It was very busy with lots of children, as this will be about the last weekend of the summer holidays. Autumn term starting soon. That said a short walk out the back of the bark and you are away from the crowds. On the slopes there are a few old skeletons of trees. Some damaged in the great storm of 1987, some damaged by a big fire a few years later.

They stand like ghosts, their bare arms spreading across the sky, their trunks, stripped of bark showing all the lines a whorls normally hidden in a living tree.

Bletchley Park

We have been wanting to visit Bletchley Park for some time. V had visited a few years ago and said it was well worth going again. Since her visit, the site has had a large lottery fund grant and has much more to see.

We were there for 4 hours and saw only a small part of what there was to see. So I think we will be back again some time soon.

Sunset Margaretting

A nice sunset but full moon stayed behind the clouds.
