Episode Three

The second episode of my trip across kent had me at Sissinghurst gardens. The sun was out and I got some nice images. Some clouds were on the horizon, but it was still looking good so I pushed on to Bodiam castle. I had not visited in nearly twenty years but it had not changed much. I had a walk around the moat and climbed the towers. The shots I did came out well but the clouds were rolling in and by the time I was back to the car it was grey and overcast.

Sissinghurst

Driving on from Eynsford I drove across the county, finding myself near Sissinghurst I decided to stop and see if the gardens were open on a Monday. They were and as the sun was still shining so I had a walk around the gardens and got a few interesting images.

Eynsford and Farningham

My first destination yesterday had been Farningham and Eynsford, both villages on the River Darenth. I had been past them a week or two ago when the river was flowing at very low levels. With the rain over the past few days I expected the river to be much higher. It was but not so hight that it was bursting its banks.

I did a couple of images at each village.

Sunny April Day

After the wettest April on record, today was a fantastic sunny day.

With no need to be anywhere at any time during the day, I was able to wander across the county photographing what I liked as I came across them.

Towards the end of the day I found a wood near Sutton Vallence that had caught my eye earlier in the year. I took several images, all with the idea of post processing as HDR images. The results were very pleasing.

Farnham

Last night we were at 'the jewellers' first show. The show was in a display area of the local church in Farnham.

I was up at Stratford with a big camera last night. A couple of images processed with HDR were interesting.

Punches

These letter punches belonged to my father and perhaps even been used by my grandfather. I have had them sitting in my garage for over ten years, never needing them but not wanting to get rid of them.
This weekend daughter the jeweller was looking on the internet for a set of letter punches, after a dig around in the garage and a cleanup with a wire brush the punches have a new home.

Easter at Shorne

At Easter we have a tradition going back over a few years, for a walk around the country park at Shorne woods. Each year the wearer is different. This year it was grey and overcast.  So it was time to do some HDR
