Full Moon

Well the cloud sheet that rolled in yesterday was still around today, and as it is a full moon tonight, that was slightly disappointing. But about 2pm the clouds cleared out and the possibility of a clear sky at 3.55pm, which was when the moon appeared over the horizon, looked more promising.

Well things went well, the sky was clear at 4pm but by 4.30pm another cloud sheet had rolled in and the moon was gone. But in that half hour I got a couple of nice shots.

Cobham, Darnley Mausoleum

The weather early was good but couldn't get out until late morning, by which time the cloud sheet had moved in. Did see one very brief glimpse of the sun.

January 10th Just seen that this was post 666 since I started. Slightly prophetic due to all the occult goings on around the mausoleum prior to its restoration by the National Trust.

Sea Defense

Going back to a series of pictures I did a few years ago of sea defences in Kent. I found a great bit of breakwater at Grain on a trip today.
Just love the way the shapes work.

First Sun of the New Year.

It's been a very grey and overcast start to the new year, but today the sun came out late in the day.

Went down to the riverside and did a few images.

Shooting Square

Just to try and make me look and see things differently, today I tried to compose all my images in a square format.

Restart

Slightly left field story for today.

I had been considering that my life as a commercial photographer was in my past, and I told myself there was no unfinished business.

Well it is possible that I was wrong.

Sometimes what life throws at you strikes hard and sends you off in a direction that was not on your route map.

So it would seem I realised there is still some life in me and some unfinished business in photography.

Today I received a new set of business cards. chose ones with pictures on them. lets see where this goes.

Sunset Margaretting

A nice sunset but full moon stayed behind the clouds.
