Near to Christmas

Today was a mad rush with many things to get done. So the image today is a simple shot of a rose.

River Thames

The old cement silos at Northfleet are all gone now, just an empty site looking towards the wharf.

Winter solstice

Today is the winter solstice. The shortest day of the year and the turning point when days will start to get longer and the nights shorter. As i was in work early and did not finish until about 3pm I saw very little daylight and what I did see looked very wet! So the picture today is back to our tree.

London The Shard and Spitalfields.

We were up in London today around Borough and the site of The Shard and then at Spitalfields and Brick Lane.

Snow

The snow is still here and threatening to deliver some more.

There was a good fall of snow last night. I managed into work easily enough!

We had a glimpse of sun before I was into work this morning. I also had my camera so I got some images.

Look Mum No Lens!!!

OK perhaps not 'no lens', more nothing resembling a normal camera lens. Glass dragees can be used as a lens. The lights are Christmas tree lights.
