Day 5
Today was a travelling day. From North Wales to Scotland. Weather was cold and damp on leaving and then wet by the time we passes through the Wensleydale cheese factory at Hawes.
After a few more back roads we picked up the Penrith Scotch Corner road just at the edge of Stainmoor near the Tan House Inn.
At night our attempt to see the Persid Meteor shower was thwarted by the lights of glasgow in the North East where we were needing to look

Day 3
Again today the weather has been rather mixed. We travelled across to the Conway valley to visit a mill at Treview. The mill is still producing and there was a trail following the process that the wool takes through the mill.
We then picked up the A5 and drove through to Angelsey. I had never stopped at Llanfair…………………gogh so that was where we ended up. Then on to Beaumaris. After we had a drive around the North east corner of Anglesey.

Day 2
The weather today has been great , not over warm but sunny intervals all day. The day started with a trip to a wool mill for V to have a look around. I went and photographed the 'Fun Boat' now looking very sad moored up against the dock at Mostyn.
Afteer we traveled to Erdigg house near Wrexham, then returning to Conway for food and then a walk along the pier at Llandudno.

Day 1
The first day of travelling has been interesting. Leaving Gravesend we managed to get away at about 7.15 the M25 was busy but there were only a few bits where the traffic was stationary.
We stopped of at Ironbridge to visit some of the museums. We spent most of the time at Blist Hill a collection of reconstructed building grouped to form a small village. Very interesting and quite effective. After leaving Ironbridge we travelled directly to North Wales.

Packing
This year I am travelling lighter in photographic terms than I ever have before. It may not look like it when all the gear is laid out on the studio floor.
This year I am traveling with two bags of equipment. The major things that have changed are,
1:- New lighter and less bulky laptop.
2:- Concentrating on one camera. My IR converted Nikon is staying at home.
3:- Less general junk, What Have I used on the last two trips. Pack that and leave the rest.
4:- Travel with less lenses. I have a couple of lenses that do the same basic job, I am only taking one.
5:- Only one small light tripod.
I will have everything I need to shoot anything I am likely to see. So along with a small point and shoot for the times when I am not able to capture images for the library. I will hopefully have a more satisfying time.

Evening Rain
The last few posts have all been evening shots as that is about the only time I have to make images. Tonight was no exception, although I expect that I should manage to get lots more images posted over the next two weeks, while I am on holiday.
